Windstorm insurance, town by town
The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association covers all of Galveston County and, in Harris County, only the parts of Seabrook, La Porte, Shoreacres, Pasadena and Morgan's Point east of Highway 146. Inside that area, new windows, entry doors and garage doors on a TWIA-insured house need a certificate of compliance from the Texas Department of Insurance.
